MEGMILK SNOW BRAND Co., Ltd is one of the leading dairy companies, and has more than 90 years history producing dairy products (Cheese, Butter, Milk, Yogurt etc.) in Japan.
Our Journey
Our Journey from Japan to Singapore
Since 1925, we have been dedicated to excellence in dairy production. From our humble beginnings with Snow Brand Hokkaido Butter to our expansion across Indonesia, Australia, and now Singapore, our commitment to quality and innovation remains unwavering.
Launched sales of Snow Brand Hokkaido Butter
Our history began with Hokkaido butter as we were founded. After the completion of our modernized factory in 1926, we launched full-scale sales of Snow Brand Hokkaido Butter.
First in Japan to begin mass production of cheese

From around 1928, we began research and trial sales of cheese. In 1933, we built a cheese plant in Toasa (Hokkaido) and began production. As soon as the product went on sale in 1934, it became so popular that it was regularly out of stock, and in no time at all the plant became the first large-scale cheese production facility in Japan.

Opening up the future of milk through our research

Our R&D Department was established in 1933. As a dairy farming research institute, we engaged in research into processing technology, components and lactic acid bacteria. Later, we opened our Sapporo Research Laboratory, Technical Research Institute (now the Milk Science Research Institute in Saitama) and Cheese Research Laboratory (Yamanashi) allowing us to engage in full-scale research projects.

Mass production of 6P Cheese

When production first started, all product was packaged by hand but we achieved mass production by incorporating an automatic filling machine.

Launched sales of Camembert Cheese

We expanded our product line with the introduction of Camembert Cheese.

Launched sales of Snow Brand Coffee

Originally sold in a triangle-shaped pack.

    Launched sales of String Cheese

    Cheese Research Laboratory (Yamanashi) created.

    Launched sales of Mainichi Hone Care MBP™
    Contains MBP™, which is extracted from milk proteins and helps increase bone density.
    Merger to Form MEGMILK SNOW BRAND Co., Ltd.

    Nippon Milk Community Co., Ltd. and Snow Brand Milk Products Co., Ltd. merged, establishing the joint holding company Megmilk Snow Brand Co., Ltd.

    Establishment of MEGMILK SNOW BRAND SINGAPORE

    We are excited to announce our new Singapore subsidiary sales office, dedicated to expanding global reach through the export and import of premium dairy products and functional ingredients across local and regional markets.
